Delhi's Lifeline

Delhi's New Lifeline, The Metro

One meets so many people in the metro. The Delhi Metro has truly become the lifeline of the city going through the heart of the old city and very soon connecting the capital with the swanky corporate offices of Gurgaon. Delhi might not be Shanghai or New York but it has its own share of glorious heritage and modern marvels to offer to the tourist and the traveler. The metro is used by over 10 lakh commuters everyday and in the blazing heat of the summer months it comes as a welcome respite for regular office goers, college students and others.

Himalayan Trysts

Apple Farms, Old Manali

It was my first trip to Manali. And I just fell in love with the place. Hills have always been my first love .We stayed in Old Manali, a haven for backpackers and hippies. For just 200 bucks a day one can get nice, cozy rooms and amazing views of the snow capped peaks in the midst of lush green apple farms and the mighty Beas gurgling out white waters, speeding down the sleepy valley.
